GORDON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting Wednesday night that left a teenager seriously wounded.  

Deputies arrived at the residence on Newtown Road at around 10 pm and found a 14-year old male who had been shot.

The teen was taken to the hospital, and at last report, was in stable condition. 

A 16-year old male has been taken into custody and the gun that authorities believed was used in the shooting was recovered.

Additional information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
