The Floyd County Board of Education will consider a number of agenda items when they meet tonight.

The caucus will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the regular board meeting starts at 6 at the central office on Riverside Parkway.

First reading of a policy regarding the use of social media is on the agenda.

The policy was created to define the social networking and social media policy for all employees of Floyd County Schools to address the rapidly changing landscape of the Internet and the way employees communicate and obtain information online.

The board is also expected to approve meetings dates and driver’s education dates for 2022, along with the purchase of the language arts curriculum for grades 6-12, and a child nutrition department equipment purchase award to be funded with Coronavirus relief funds.
