FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

An Acworth man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a 32-year old Rome woman over the weekend.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 42-year old Calvin Bernard Crockett Jr. approached the Shaina Underwood, pointed a gun at her, and made multiple threats to kill her before pulling the trigger.

The shooting occurred early Saturday morning at a residence on Robin Hood Road.

Crockett was initially charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana following his arrest Saturday.

In addition to the newly filed murder charge, Crockett is also charged with aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, and terroristic threats and acts.
