Georgia Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner John King says a fire that claimed the life of an elderly Rome woman originated near a power strip in the living room and was determined to be accidental in nature.
90-year old Sung Park was killed in the fire that occurred at 1:55 a.m. on October 4th.
The fire moderately damaged the home on Donley Drive in Rome.
Park’s husband was severely injured.
It was the 93rd death from a Georgia fire in 2021.
