According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, Floyd County reported five COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday.

218 Floyd County residents have now lost their lives to the virus since the start of the pandemic.

108 new positive test results were also reported Wednesday for a total of 13,453.

On Wednesday, there were 131 COVID-19 patients at Floyd Medical Center.

Only 10 are vaccinated.

Floyd also reported 60 patients on critical respiratory care.

There were another 85 Covid patients at Redmond.
