A Flash Flood Watch will be in effect from 2 a.m. Tuesday through Wednesday morning for north Georgia and portions of central Georgia.

Tropical Storm Fred is expected to bring 2-5 inches with locally higher amounts possible.

Expect an elevated threat for river and stream flooding in addition to localized flash flooding.

Also, wind gusts of 20-35 mph with locally higher gusts are possible.

Brief, short-lived tornadoes are possible mostly to the east and northeast of Fred’s center.
