Rome City Commission meets Monday

August 15, 2021–4:50 p.m.

STAFF REPORTS

The Rome City Commission is expected to vote on a contract with the Rome City Schools for the operation and management of Barron Stadium when they meet Monday night.

The Rome Board of Education approved the contract during their meeting last week.

The two-year agreement has an option for a two-year renewal.

It includes the creation of a facilities committee that will coordinate scheduling with the city.

The school system is also being asked to report quarterly to the city general administration committee on expenses and rentals.

The Rome City Commission meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Rome City Hall.

During the caucus, which starts at 5 p.m., commissioners will get an update on the speed enforcement cameras that are now up and running in the Rome High-Rome Middle School zone on Veteran’s Memorial Highway.
