Rome man arrested following shooting in Cedartown

A 35-year old Rome man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a teenager in Cedartown Wednesday night.

According to Cedartown Police, the 17-year old male sustained what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to both hands during an argument between two adults on East Queen Street.

The alleged shooter left the scene but law enforcement officers were able to locate him a short time after the incident.

35-year old Claude Thomas Kinnebrew is charged with aggravated assault and two counts of cruelty to children.

The 17- year-old was transported to a Rome hospital for treatment.
