July 13, 2021–4:10 p.m.

STAFF REPORTS

A public meeting is scheduled for Thursday night to discuss the refurbishing of the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Skate Park.

The 21,000 square foot skate park is located at Etowah Park and was built in 1995.

Since that time, it has been used extensively and is in need of repair and upgrading.

In 2017, the voters of Floyd County approved a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax that included $150,000 to refurbish the skate park.

Thursday’s public meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Charles Parker Center, located at 1325 Kingston Highway.

Anyone with suggestions and ideas on the design of the skate park can email [email protected].
