A motorcyclist was killed in a wreck Saturday evening near Aragon in Polk County.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado failed to yield to the Yamaha motorcycle while entering Ga. 101 from Collard Valley Road.

The left side of the pickup made contact with the front end of the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 53-year old James Hulsey, suffered fatal injuries.

A female passenger on the motorcycle was taken to an Atlanta area hospital.

The investigation is continuing.
