ROME POLICE REPORT

Rome Police are investigating a reported armed robbery at a convenience store on Martha Berry Boulevard.

According to the police report, a man wearing all black robbed the clerk at the Shova Food Mart at gunpoint at around 5:50 a.m. Saturday.

The suspect reportedly asked the clerk how much the honey buns were and then brandished a pistol.

The suspect then took approximately $2,000 from the register and fled the scene.
