A 37-year old Rome man was arrested Tuesday on felony warrants charging him with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to the warrants, James Christopher Jenkins strangled the victim twice during a domestic altercation back on December 6.

He was also in possession of a 9mm handgun, taken from the victim.
