Calhoun man accused of fleeing from authorities

A Calhoun man was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly fleeing from law enforcement in Rome.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 22-year old Tarik Dajuan Holmes refused to stop for authorities and placed pedestrians at risk while traveling on North Broad Street and other locations.

He allegedly passed other vehicles using the turn lane and ran several traffic signals.

Holmes is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, speeding, passing in a no-passing zone, and failure to obey traffic control devices.
