Rome City Commission meets Monday

Rome City Commissioners will tackle a number of agenda items when they meet Monday night.

During the caucus, Bill Zieburtz with Stantec will be on hand to talk about a Water and Sewer Cost of Service Study.

During the regular meeting, the commission will conduct a public hearing regarding a rezoning application for a townhouse development on East 3rd Street and East 8th Avenue.

Also on the agenda is an amendment to the 2019-2023 CDBG Consolidated Plan.

This has to do with the additional $255,497 in additional funding the city is getting though the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.

A Black History Month presentation will also take place during the regular meeting.

Monday’s meeting will be a virtual, web-based meeting available via Facebook Live and Zoom.

The caucus begins at 5 p.m. with the regular meeting to follow at 6:30.
