The Rome City Commission is expected to vote on extending the local mask mandate for another month when they Monday night.
The current ordinance, which requires facial coverings with some exceptions in public places, expired on Sunday.
If approved, the ordinance would be extended through March 7.

Other agenda items for Monday night’s meeting including proclamations for Arbor Day and Black History Month.
The Rome City Police Department’s 2020 Officer of the Year will also be recognized.
The commission meeting, which will be held virtually via Zoom and Facebook Live, will begin at 6:30 p.m.
