FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 43-year old Rome man was arrested Saturday on a felony count of aggravated assault on a police officer.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Joshua Daniel Richardson struck a Rome Police Officer in the face with a tree branch, injuring the officer’s eye and breaking his glasses.

The incident occurred at a location on Turner McCall Boulevard.

Richardson was also charged with a probation violation.
