STAFF REPORTS
The Floyd County Board of Education is set to take a vote on closing Cave Spring Elementary School and Glenwood Primary School when they meet Monday night.
If approved, the schools would be closed following the 2021-2022 school year.
Superintendent Dr. Glenn White is making the recommendation due to enrollment and financial considerations for the school system as a whole.
For the 2022-2023 school year, Armuchee Elementary School would absorb all Glenwood students while Cave Spring students would be redistricted into existing facilities within the school district.
Monday night’s school board meeting begins at 5:30 p.m.
It will be held in the auditorium at Coosa High School.
