Congratulations are in order for a local law enforcement officer who helps keep kids safe in school.

Model Attendance Area School Resource Officer, Ginger Shelly is the recipient of the first annual Floyd County Schools Safety & Security Award of Honor.

Shelley was chosen for the inaugural award for her outstanding service to her schools and community through her integrity, honesty, and character.
