COVID-19 status update for Dec. 3

Another 83 Floyd County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, according to Thursday’s report from the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Floyd County is now at a total of 5,221 cases, up from 5,138 in Wednesday’s report.

Floyd County also reported three deaths from the day before for a total of 80 since the start of the pandemic.

Polk County also reported one additional death Thursday for a total of 34.

Polk County is at 2,045 total COVID-19 cases since late February, up by eight from Wednesday.

Bartow County reported 4,641 total cases, up from 4,600 Wednesday.

Gordon County was at 3,160 total cases on Thursday, up from 3,130 the day before.

Chattooga County reported 1,158, up from 1,149 on Wednesday.

No additional deaths were reported in Bartow, Gordon or Chattooga.

Statewide, 4,419 new cases were reported Thursday bringing the total to 433,353 since late February.

There were another 53 confirmed deaths for a total of 8,879.
