A Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement.
According to the warrant, 30-year old Robert William Wight of a McGrady Road address was on a motorcycle when he fled at a high rate of speed as Rome Police were trying to conduct a traffic stop at Turner McCall Boulevard and East 8th Street.
The report states that Wight was traveling at more than 20 miles per hour above the speed limit.
He was additionally charged with reckless driving and too fast for conditions.
