GA DPH COVID-19 Report for 7 p.m. June 1

June 1, 2020–9:30 p.m.

GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Floyd County saw three additional COVID-19 cases from 7 p.m. on Sunday to the latest report at 7 p.m. Monday.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, Floyd has now seen 268 confirmed cases since March with 15 deaths and 43 total hospitalizations.

Bartow County saw three new cases during the same time period, for a total of 481.  There were no additional deaths reported.

Gordon County saw one additional case from Sunday to Monday for a total of 164.  No new deaths reported in Gordon County.

Polk County saw six additional cases, bringing the total to 124.  Polk remained at 1 death and Chattooga County held steady at 24 cases and 2 deaths.

Statewide, there have been 562,815 tests administered and 47,899 positives.  That is up from 47,063 from Sunday at 7 p.m.

There have been 2,089 deaths, up by 36 from Sunday.

Beginning this Tuesday, the Georgia Department of Public Health will move to a once a day status report instead of three times daily.

That report will be released each day at 3 p.m.

Public Health Officials say this will allow time to process and validate laboratory and case reports to improve data quality and accuracy.
