Woman accused of hindering the apprehension of a wanted felon

A Rome woman was arrested Saturday on charges of hindering the apprehension of a criminal, 2nd-degree cruelty to children and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 41-year old Britney Moon of a Fairhaven Drive address aided and assisted a known convicted felon who had a federal warrant for his arrest.

Authorities say that Moon had methamphetamine, scales and packaging materials in the back seat of her vehicle where a child was sitting.
