The Floyd County Commission will consider the purchase of new lighting for State Mutual Stadium when they meet tonight.

The lighting and other renovations at the stadium are being funded in part by a 2017 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.

Also tonight, the commission will conduct public hearings for a special use permit for a manufactured home on Nanellen Road and a rezoning request from community commercial to heavy commercial for property on Cave Spring Road.

During the pre-meeting caucus, the commission will discuss the Sara Hightower Regional Library and go into Executive session to discuss personnel and property acquisition.

The caucus begins at 4 p.m. with the regular meeting to follow at 6.
