Commerce man charged with criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation

Yet another man has been arrested for traveling to Floyd County for sex with a minor.

According to the arrest warrant in this latest case, 55-year old Billy Joe Henson of Commerce, Georgia sent six drawings depicting sexual conduct and sadomasochistic abuse via the internet to someone he believed to be a 14-year old.

He then engaged in a graphic written conversation online and then traveled from his home to an undisclosed location in Floyd County where police were waiting.

Henson then allegedly struck a police vehicle in an attempt to flee.

Police say they found methamphetamine, marijuana, suspected hydrocodone pills, smoking pipes, scales, and a bag during a subsequent search.

Henson is charged with aggravated child molestation (criminal attempt), electronic enticement of a child, furnishing obscene materials to a minor, obscene internet contact with a child, felony obstruction of officers, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects.
