Rome City Commission meets Monday

First readings of ordinances regarding urban camping and panhandling are on the agenda for Monday’s Rome City Commission meeting.

Since this is the first reading, there will be no discussion or public hearing.

That will come during second reading prior to the vote during the commission’s next meeting.

Also on the agenda is a Downtown Development Authority revolving loan application for Moon Dance Properties, which has a plan to rehabilitate and reuse a building at 401 West 3rd Street.

Commissioners are also expected to adopt an ordinance that will allow for speed detection cameras to be placed in school zones and a small wireless facilities and antennas ordinance.

Monday’s commission meet begins at 6:30 p.m.

The caucus begins at 5.
