Man burned in LP tank explosion in Calhoun

One person was airlifted to the hospital after sustaining burns when an LP tank exploded at Mohawk GHB on Clarence King Drive in Calhoun Monday.

According to the Gordon Gazette, a gas company was called in to capture the gas out of the ruptured tank.

The fire has been contained to the tank/fill station area. No building was involved.

It’s been a busy last few days for Calhoun Firefighters.

On Friday, they responded to a massive fire at DHM Adhesives at the corner of South Wall and Oak Street.

On September 8, there was a fire at Clean Sweep on Nance Road.
