FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS
A stolen firearm lands a 26-year old Rome man behind bars.
According to Floyd County Jail records, police stopped a vehicle driven by Devon Franklin Jones Jr. of an East 13th Street address on Broad Street at Bridgepoint Plaza.
The officer observed the firearm in plain view on the seat next to Jones.
The ID on the 9mm was run through NCIC, and it came back as stolen.
Jones was charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, a probation violation and failure to appear.
