Man indicted on murder charge

A 46-year old man has been indicted by a Floyd County Grand Jury on murder charges.

Wallace Junior Chambers Jr. is accused of shooting 74-year old Johnny Lewis Price on Hardy Avenue back on May 30.

According to Rome Police, the shooting occurred after the two men had gotten into an argument.

The indictment was one of 42 true bills returned by the Grand Jury.

Three men were also indicted on aggravated assault charges in connection with a shooting on East 13th Street last month.

19-year old Tylan Dwight McCluskey, 23-year old Timothy Morris Williams Jr. and 26-year old Tevian Markez Williams Sr. are all charged in the shooting of Calvin Harris at Banty Jones Park on June 19.

Meanwhile, 28-year old Jimmy Abadio-Lopez was indicted for child exploitation.

Abadio-Lopez was one of 82 men arrested during a statewide crackdown earlier this year that focused on persons who possess and distribute child pornography and those who are sexually exploiting children in other ways using technology and the internet.

Kellen Burk – Aggravated Assault

Jarrett T. Louallen – Aggravated Assault

Kathy R. Riordan – Aggravated Cruelty to Animals

Michael S. Swift – Aggravated Assault

Micah D. Johnson – Armed Robbery

Brittany Morrison – Aggravated Assault

Joshua B. Morrison – Aggravated Assault
