ROME POLICE REPORTS

An 85-year old Rome woman injured in a two-vehicle accident on North Broad Street at East Callahan Street on Sunday has died.

According to a Rome Police report, Betty J. Battles ran the red light on East Callahan and her Mercury Grand Marquis was t-boned by a Ford F-150.

Battles was transported by Floyd EMS to the hospital, where she died on Tuesday.

A passenger in her vehicle was treated for minor injuries as was a passenger in the F-150.

The wreck occurred at around 1:50 p.m. on Sunday.
