Woman charged with vehicular homicide

A 28-year old Rockmart woman was arrested Saturday following an early morning wreck that claimed the life of a 62-year old Rome man.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Brittney Lee Rosetti caused the wreck by running a stop sign at the intersection of East 2nd Avenue and East 12th Street at around 1:45 a.m. Saturday.

The wreck claimed the life of Douglas Wayne Cooper.

The report states that Rosetti was driving under the influence.

She was booked in at the jail at around 7:58 a.m. Saturday on charges of felony 1st-degree vehicular homicide, DUI and running a stop sign.
