Jamie Doss has been selected to serve another term as Rome’s Mayor.
The Rome City Commission voted 8-0 to reappoint Doss during their Tuesday night meeting.
“I want to thank the city commission for this special honor,” Doss said. “It’s a tremendous honor to serve the city as your mayor and I truly thank you,”
Milton Slack was reappointed mayor pro-tem and Sammy Rich will remain the Rome City Manager.
Assistant City Manager Patrick Eidson, City Clerk Joe Smith and City Attorney Andy Davis were all reappointed along with various directors and department heads, with the exception of the Downtown Development Authority Director.
Ann Arnold stepped down late last year and the city will be hiring a replacement.

Only garbage and recycling will be collected for Monday and Tuesday’s route. There will be no yard cart collection.)
