Man facing drug charges

A 20-year-old Rome man is facing several drug charges after his arrest on Friday.

According to Floyd County Jail reports, Jaden Lee Tate of a Wingfield Street residence was arrested on Callier Springs Road after he was stopped for not wearing a seat belt. He was also charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Tate is also facing several charges stemming from an incident in January. Police said they found a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue and a cigarette package with prescription pills. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession of drug-related objects and possession of pills not in their original container.

Man accused of breaking into vehicles

Police have charged a 28-year-old Rome man with three counts of entering an automobile.

According to a Floyd County Jail report, Lucas Wade Sharpe of Hull Avenue broke into three vehicles on Cedar Avenue on Friday night.

Sharpe is also charged with probation violation.
