A warrant has been issued for a thirty-eight-year-old Summerville man who has been accused of sexually assaulting another man and recording the incident on his cellphone.
Chattooga County Magistrate Judge Tracy Maddux confirmed to WZQZ News that a warrant was issued after Michael Shedd was accused of assaulting the victim on March 31st of this year. Summerville Police say that Shedd knew the victim and that the assault happened while the victim was passed out from being intoxicated. The victim awoke and realized that he had been assaulted and went to police.
Shedd’s social media profile lists him as being the “DJ for Summerville Main Street” and working in public relations for the City of Summerville Main Street. Shedd also claims to manage the “Summerville High-Rise Residents Association.”
This is not Shedd’s first run-in with the law. A warrant for his arrest was issued in 2015 and he was briefly jailed in Chattooga County on sex-related charges.
The current warrant accuses Shedd of aggravated sodomy, sexual battery and unlawful surveillance of a sex act. Local law enforcement says that they have not been able to locate Shedd since the warrant was issued.
