Report: Man threatened officer

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A Cedartown man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday on a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.

According to jail records, 24-year old Samuel James Peterson made threats and suggestions of violence toward a Floyd County Police Officer.

Peterson, whose vehicle was stopped on Blacks Bluff Road at Lindsey Hamilton Drive, was also charged with DUI and driving too fast for conditions.

 

Man charged with aggravated battery, terroristic threats

A 60-year old Rome man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly struck a woman, causing her to fall and break her ankle.

According to Floyd County Jail records, George Brian Tapp of a Miller Street address also threatened to kill the victim as he hit her.

The threat was reportedly overheard by a witness.

Tapp is charged with aggravated battery, terroristic threats and acts, and DUI.

 

Woman charged with theft by receiving a stolen vehicle

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A Rome woman was jailed Tuesday on a felony count of theft by receiving a stolen automobile.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 34-year old Amanda Rene Towe had a stolen vehicle hidden in the backyard of her South Hughes Street home.

The key to the vehicle was found inside the residence, according to the report.
