Man accused of entering home, making threats

A 31-year old Aragon man was jailed Monday on burglary charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Adam Corey Masters of a Wax Road address entered a residence on Marchmont Drive without permission.

When told to leave, Masters reportedly threatened the victim.

The two men had never met before.

Masters was also charged with terroristic threats and acts and a probation violation.

 

Man charged with aggravated battery

A Rome man was arrested on an aggravated battery charge in connection with an incident back on March 22 on Martha Berry Highway.

According to the arrest warrant, 20-year old William Scott Phillips of a Big Texas Valley Road address punched the male victim in the face, causing the man to fall and hit his head.

The victim suffered blunt force trauma that rendered him unconscious and caused scarring.

The man also required staples for a large laceration to the back of the head.

 

Woman arrested for being a fugitive from justice

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 25-year old Rome woman was arrested Monday on charges of being a fugitive from justice.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Monica Beth Jones of a Dellvue Place address had a valid warrant for her arrest out of DeKalb, County Alabama. 

Reports did not go into specifics about the nature of the charges.

Jones was arrested at a location on Avenue B in Rome.
