A Rome man allegedly threatens to burn a woman alive in a fit of rage

According to Floyd County Jail reports, 31-year old Martino Randolph King of a Spruce Street address was initially arrested when he threatened to burn a woman alive after pouring paint thinner on her.

Then King went to a different location on Davis Street and pushed a man to the ground and began striking him in the back of the head leaving several lumps.

King is charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts, Aggravated Assault and Battery.


 A Rome man is arrested on charges of repeatedly beating a woman in the face with children present.

According to Floyd County Jail reports, 31-year old Timothy Wade Hamilton struck the victim in the face with his fist repeatedly while four children were able to hear the incident from the next room.

Hamilton is charged with 1 count of Battery and 4 counts of Cruelty to Children. He remains in the Floyd County Jail.
