Snake removed from East Rome home

May 19, 2017--8:13 a.m.

ROME POLICE DEPARTMENT

Police never know what they will find when they respond to a call, as Captain Chris Dehart found out.

The Rome Police Department shared a picture on its Facebook page Thursday night showing Captain Dehart removing a live snake from a house in East Rome.

The snake was non-venomous, but you still wouldn't want it in the house.

It was released in a safe wooded area.
