Man charged with aggravated assault

A 49-year old Rome man was jailed late Wednesday on a single count of aggravated assault.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Douglas David Gann Jr. of a Rising Fawn Trail address struck a woman in the face repeatedly with his fists while telling the victim she was going to die.

 

 

Report: Man had two pounds of marijuana

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

An estimated two pounds of marijuana landed a Rome man behind bars Wednesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, the bricks of marijuana were found in the Battey Drive residence of 28-year old Darrell Lamar Wise.

He is charged with the purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana.

He is also being held for U.S. Marshals.

 

Man charged with felony obstruction

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A Rome man was jailed late Wednesday charged with felony obstruction of officers and misdemeanor counts of battery and simple assault.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 43-year old Jody Shane Parr of East 19th Street resisted arrest and kicked a Rome Police officer.

Parr also allegedly attempted to kick and elbow a second officer.

Parr was charged with criminal trespass after allegedly locking another man out of his own residence.

 

Report: Man passed stolen check

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A man who allegedly passed a stolen check at a bank on East 2nd Avenue was jailed Wednesday on a 1st-degree forgery charge.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 26-year old Joshua Louis Farmer of Farris Drive in Rome abruptly pulled into traffic on 2nd Avenue when he saw the blue lights of a police car, resulting in an additional charge of reckless driving.

Farmer was charged with obstruction after he reportedly bailed from the vehicle and ran on foot.

He was captured down by the river behind 100 East 1st Avenue.

 

Man arrested for meth possession

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 63-year old man is facing drug charges after being found with methamphetamine at his home on Gentry Road in Kingston.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Floyd County Police found a plastic baggie containing a white, crystal-like substance.

Timothy Paul Hicks was charged with possession of meth.
