A 25-year old man is facing charges of battery on a law enforcement officer after he allegedly bit a Rome Police Officer early Thursday morning.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Robert Jasper Wright Jr. of a Watters Street address in Rome gave a wrong name and date of birth to police near the Floyd County Board of Education Office on Riverside Parkway just before 5 a.m.
