Press Release

The first film of Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation’s new free outdoor movie series has been canceled on Friday, April 21st due to weather conditions.

Recent rains and the possibility of evening thunderstorms were the deciding factors as safety is the main concern for all involved.  The equipment set-up, pet representatives and the comfort of the patrons were also taken into consideration.

The movie has been rescheduled for Friday, May 12th at the Roman Roast on the River at Ridge Ferry Park.  The combined event will boast live music by Scott Thompson, a kid zone with inflatables and Knockerball, food vendors, a wing competition and more.

Both events are open to the public, free to enter and family-friendly.  The park will open at 6 p.m. with the movie to show at 8:30 p.m.  Additional information can be found at rfpra.com.
