COVID-19 status report for Sunday

The Georgia Department of Public Health is reporting that 82 Floyd County residents have now tested positive for COVID-19.

There have been three deaths, and 80-year old man, a 65-year old female and a 75-year old male, all had underlying medical conditions.

Statewide, as of noon Sunday, there were 6,742 confirmed cases statewide with 219 deaths.

1,296 are hospitalized.

Bartow County has 160 cases and seven deaths.

Gordon County has 23 cases and there have been two deaths.

Polk County has 18 cases, no deaths, and Chattooga County remains at three cases and no deaths.

Remember, these numbers reflect the county of residence not where they are hospitalized.
