The Floyd County Board of Commission held its legislative luncheon meeting on Monday morning.
They came together to discuss many agenda topics including limiting charges on prison inmate services.
According to the Commission: Inmates can lose their Medicaid rights until they are convicted under the current system but $3.3 million is being spent on these prison medical services.
$200,000 is projected to be added to that amount by 2020 – This is the result of the prison system being over the amount of allowed medical service visitations for the inmates.
