Rome City Commission meets Monday

The Rome City Commission will consider a proposed special-election referendum regarding Sunday alcohol sales by the drink.

If approved on Second Reading, the so-called “Brunch Bill,” would go before voters in November.

It would provide for the sale of alcohol by the drink on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Commissioners will also consider Lofts at Third and Broad  Amended & Restated Air Rights Easement, which you can read here.

During the pre-meeting caucus, Lisa Smith with the Greater Rome Convention and Visitors Bureau will talk about the hotel Unified Land Development Code language and Missy Kendrick will give a Rome-Floyd Development Authority update.

The caucus begins at 5 p.m. with the regular meeting to follow at 6:30 p.m.
