Man arrested after allegedly fleeing traffic stop

A Silver Creek man is facing a long list of charges including fleeing or attempting to elude following his arrest Saturday evening.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 33-year-old Patrick Wayne Gaylor of a Donahoo Road address refused to stop for police who were trying to make a traffic stop.

Gaylor reportedly turned onto the connector from Highway 411 and accelerated to speeds of over 115 miles per hour.

He then turned onto Kingston Highway, continuing at a high rate of speed, according to the report.

Police say he crossed over the double yellow line and passed other vehicles in a no-passing zone.

Gaylor is also charged with reckless driving, aggressive driving, speeding, too fast for conditions, improper lane change, failure to maintain a lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, passing in a no-passing zone, passing within 200 feet of oncoming traffic, cancelled registration and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
