Georgia gas prices are up this week compared to a week ago.

Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $2.67 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

Monday’s state average is 7 cents more than a week ago, 19 cents more than this time last month, and 5 cents less than this time last year.

Montrae Waiters with AAA says if stocks continue to decrease as demand remains robust, pump prices will likely continue to rise throughout the week.

Local averages on Monday were $2.54 in Floyd County, $2.69 in Bartow County, $2.63 in Gordon County, $2.59 in Chattooga County, and $2.70 in Polk County.
