For the second time in less than a week, a tree brings down power lines in Rosemont Park.

A portion of a tree fell at around 4:30 Sunday afternoon on Hawthorn Street near the intersection of Flannery Street.

No injuries were reported, but some residents were not able to leave their homes due to the tree blocking the way.

Georgia Power and the Rome Fire Department responded to the scene.

According to the Georgia Power Outage Map, 227 customers were impacted by a power outage on Hawthorn, Flannery, Azalea Street, Wisteria Drive, and Alfred Avenue.

On Thursday, a large tree fell during an early morning storm at the intersection of Alfred Avenue and Pecan Street, bringing down power lines and resulting in a power outage.
