FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A man arrested on murder charges back on June 4 is facing an additional charge of unauthorized possession of a weapon by an inmate.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 46-year old Wallace Chambers Jr. had a knife hidden in the toe of his shoe while inside his jail cell.

The additional charge was filed on Monday.

Chambers turned himself to authorities last week after warrants were issued for his arrest on charges of murder and aggravated assault in the shooting death of 74-year old Johnny Lewis Price on Hardy Avenue on May 30.
