Man accused of using vehicle as a weapon

A 27-year old Rome man is facing charges of aggravated assault after police say he used his vehicle as a weapon against another person.

According to the arrest warrant, Desmond Lavonta Brown of a Turner McCall Boulevard address rammed another vehicle at a high rate of speed in the driver’s side door.

The impact caused the victim’s vehicle to leave the roadway and it was totaled in the wreck, according to the warrant.

Brown was also charged with aggressive driving, reckless driving, and hit and run in connection with the incident that occurred this past Saturday on Wilshire Road.

He also reportedly violated his conditional bond by approaching the victim’s home, resulting in an additional charge of aggravated stalking.
