Calhoun Police led on high-speed chase

A woman from Dewy Rose, Georgia led officers on a high-speed chase through Gordon and Bartow County Wednesday afternoon.

According to Calhoun Police reports, Amber Scoggins was driving a 1996 Dodge Dakota on Wall Street when officers spotted the truck with no brake lights.

Calhoun City police attempted to stop the truck on Highway 53 east.

Scoggins ran multiple red lights and eventually made it on to I-75 South.

Bartow County Police and the Georgia State Patrol joined the chase as Scoggins made it to Bartow County.

As the chase approached exit 293, the Georgia State Patrol performed a pit maneuver and took Scoggins and her passenger into custody.

Scoggins is charged with felony fleeing, reckless driving, and multiple traffic violations.
